Your Responsibilities as a Turf Technician

o You are quite literally the boots on the ground. You’ll be a front-line employee who provides exceptional care, and as you grow the client base, you will add additional technicians and routes.

o You help maintain and implement the fertilization and lawn treatment strategy at high levels of quality and service delivery, giving our clients high level turf care outcomes.

o You help create and implement a direct approach marketing plan that focuses on increasing density to already served areas. We will provide materials and guidance on carrying out that plan. 

o You must be able to work outdoors, in all weather conditions, doing very physical work, able to lift/carry 35-80 pounds often

o You ensure everything is wrapped up and set to go for the next day.

How We Measure Success

· Attendance: Might sound basic, but it’s critical to meet our Customer Service goals. You need to be here as required by your Supervisory team.

· Budget vs Actual Hours: Keeping jobs profitable is dependent on managing the time planned and spent at each job.

· Return Rates: You’ll ensure quality control to make sure it’s rare to ever need to go back to redo a job.

· Customer Retention: Building great relationships with each customer, and ensuring that they receive exceptional service, will keep them coming back.

· Full Utilization of Software & Processes: This helps make all the above possible.

 Job Requirements for Turf Technician

· Prior experience in turf care - at least 3 years and Kansas pesticide applicators license.

· Sales experience, but if you have not done that previously, we will train you and help you build an effective strategy.

· General understanding of business principles and the applicability to your division.

In addition, there are a few additional minimum requirements that are necessary to be considered for this position.

· Clean driving history with experience driving a trailer

Benefits & Pay

The base pay range for this position is $27.00-$38.00 per hour and incentive schedule, paid quarterly, based on size and revenue of your route, as well as your daily management and reporting processes. The sky's the limit if you have a growth mindset.
